Week 3: Mid-Point Reflection

This is a time where I reflect my habit... may it rest in peace. My 3rd week has been so off,
I have not kept track of my types of food I have consumed. In fact, I'd eat meat once every 2'
days or I'd eat meat then I'd stop more liek2-3 days or so or 2-3 meals.

If my project ended today, I would still continue the fish/veggies life but I'd be cutting down meat
as much as I can. One meal per day is when I'll eat meat. My motivations to continue is because
I have gotten sick of eating meat. For example, my family would cook beef and I'd just stare at it and decipher if I do want to eat it or not. I tell myself all the time to trust the process cause sometimes, the process can be hard and verrrrrrryyyy long.

In the first of my habit experiment, I was excellent at keeping it veggie/fish friendly. But in the second week happened then it started to decrease positive habit. It's hard having a habit when you tell yourself to trust the process but how long will your process be and how much trust do you have to put in yourself? Acordng to an article, take you anywhere from two months to eight months to build a new behavior into your life — not 21 days" (Clear). It takes that long to effectively have a habit built into your everyday life.

With this quote coming from this specific article, I feel like I can continue my personal impact project. If I take this out into the real world lets see how it greatly affects the United States.

If you take a look at all the amount that cow pasture takes up, pretty surprising huh? Well, now you know many land cows take up of the U.S. If you remember of my first blog, Americans tend to eat more beef than any other proteins. It doesn't have to be a whole world to cut down the intake of beef but it can starts off with something small, such as you cut down your intake of beef.

  2. If the project were to end and you maintained a constant rate at the amount of meat you eat, how would you track your consumption to make sure you did not continue your old habits? A lot of people have a hard time with tracking how much they consume every week so it would be helpful to hear strategies you have found. Also keep up with the blog posts! They looks really good.

  3. I agree it does get difficult after the 2nd/3rd week, and it makes it difficult to continue what you're doing because you slip up. The point is that you don't get too hung over the fact that you slipped up. Just continue doing what you did before.

  4. I know you said you've gotten sick of eating meat, but do you think you could cut meat entirely out of your diet? Also, what would you recommend for others to do in order to stop eating meat?
